RCMP rescued another hiker in distress on the Mantario Trail one day after two other hikers needed rescuing on the same path.
Lac du Bonnet RCMP received a distress call from the hiker around 9:30 a.m. on Monday. The hiker started suffering abdominal pain while walking with two other people on the trail near Moosehead Lake in Whiteshell Provincial Park.
A float plane from Adventure Air in Lac du Bonnet helped police pick up the hiker. He was then transferred to an ambulance, which took him to hospital.
On Sunday, Lac du Bonnet police used the same air company to rescue two hikers after one of them became injured on the trail.
