Dakota Ojibway police are asking for the public’s help finding a 21-year-old man wanted in connection with a hit-and-run.

Police said it was reported May 20 that a pedestrian was struck by an off-road vehicle on the Long Plain First Nation.

A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital in Portage La Prairie with severe injuries.

Police issued a warrant for the arrest of 21-year-old Jeffrey Scott. He faces a number of charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon.
