Fourteen bus trips were cancelled Monday morning as the labour dispute between the City of Winnipeg and the transit union continues.

The disruptions come as drivers refuse to take overtime.

The city said the cancellations only occurred on routes with frequent bus service.

City officials have requested a conciliation officer to help settle the dispute.

The union is in a legal strike position but negotiations are continuing. Winnipeg's last transit strike was 1976.

Late Monday afternoon, the union said it had agreed to conciliation talks.
