Brian Pallister and his newly unveiled 12-member cabinet were sworn in in a ceremony Tuesday morning at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.

Pallister and his newly appointed cabinet took their oaths at a ceremony presided over by Lieutenant Governor Janice Filmon.

Tuxedo MLA Heather Stefanson was appointed minister of justice and attorney general.

Cameron Friesen was named minister of finance, while Steinbach MLA Kelvin Goertzen was appointed minister of health, seniors and active living.

Portage la Prairie MLA Ian Wishart was named minister of education and training, while former Winnipeg city councillor and current MLA for Kirkfield Park, Scott Fielding, will hold minister of families.

Minister of infrastructure went to Blaine Pedersen, and Eileen Clarke was named minister of indigenous and municipal relations.

River East MLA Cathy Cox was sworn in as minister of sustainable development.

Minister of growth, enterprise and trade went to Spruce Woods MLA Cliff Cullen.

Lakeside MLA Ralph Eichler was named minister of agriculture.

Riel MLA Rochelle Squires was named minister of sport, culture and heritage and minister responsible for francophone affairs and status of women.

Ron Schuler rounds out the group as minister of crown services.

Four women join Pallister's cabinet: Stefanson, Clarke, Cox and Squires.

Meanwhile, neither Brandon MLA, Len Isleifson or Reg Helwer, made it into Pallister's inner-circle.

There is also no northern representation in the new cabinet.

The remaining members of caucus will take their oath May 11.

Pallister says the new government’s first throne speech will be delivered on May 16.
