The Selinger government says it will spend $65 million to fix Winnipeg roads this year.

Standing with Mayor Brian Bowman, Premier Selinger made the annual post-budget announcement.

But the funding is nowhere close to what the mayor really wants.

Bowman and other municipal leaders have been calling on the province to hand over a cut of the PST for infrastructure.

The mayor says he has already begun having those tough discussions with Selinger.

Selinger says the province already gives money to municipalities equal to a percentage point of the PST.
