Manitoba residents are about to get their first look at what they can expect this spring in terms of flooding.

The province is expected to release their flood forecast Wednesday.

Last week, upriver, North Dakota released its flood predictions for the southern portion of the Red River and the Assiniboine.

Large quantities of snow in the Fargo basin have raised some concerns for the Red River, as has a higher than normal amount of moisture in the North Dakota portion of the Assiniboine catchment.

Manitoba’s forecasters will take that data, add their own, and come out with details for Winnipeg, Brandon and the rest of the province.
