The primary gas rate for Centra Gas Manitoba customers is set to decrease, as of Aug. 1.

The Public Utilities Board said it has approved an application from Centra Gas Manitoba to lower the current rate.

“The projected annual bill impact for a typical residential customer is a decrease of approximately 0.8% or $7/year,” said the PUB in a statement.

Primary gas rates for those who inked fixed-term, fixed price contracts are not affected by the rate change, said the PSB.

Primary gas rates will be reviewed again on Nov. 1.
