Morris RCMP are investigating after the body of a 54-year-old woman was found in an apartment in St. Jean Baptiste, Manitoba.
RCMP were called to the apartment on Caron Street on July 17, around 8 p.m. for the call of a possible homicide.
RCMP said Danny Vanoosten, 56, from St. Jean Baptiste, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with second-degree murder.
The victim was known to the accused, said RCMP after further investigation.
RCMP said Vanoosten remains in custody.
The major crimes unit and the forensic unit are assisting in the ongoing investigation.
