A Manitoba Mountie has been charged with theft.
Police say the allegation was when the officer was off-duty.
RCMP began investigating last May, but details of the nature of the crime were not released.
Constable Walter Chartier of The Pas is charged with theft under $5,000.
He is to appear in Winnipegosis provincial court on March 18th.
