A semi-trailer hauling a grain bin had its cargo collide with the railway overpass on Highway 110, east of Brandon, on Wednesday.

RCMP said the semi-trailer with its oversized load was being escorted by pilot vehicles on Highway 110, south of Provincial Road 457 West, when it went under the railway overpass and hit the structure around 11:45 a.m.

One of the pilot vehicles travelling behind hit the semi-trailer.

The driver of that pilot vehicle went to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.

Around 1 p.m. Wednesday, RCMP advised drivers to expect delays on the southbound lane of Highway 110 between PR 457 West and PR 457 East. RCMP advised drivers to avoid the area, if possible.
