The smell complaints are piling up in St. Boniface.

Since Matt Allard launched the StBsmell.ca website last month, 146 complaints have been submitted according to the councillor.

Those submissions are forwarded directly to Manitoba Conservation, who oversees environmental licenses for businesses.

Allard is hoping to work with conservation officials to reduce the odour impact on people.

He says Conservation has inspected two businesses in the last couple of months following complaints.

St. Boniface is home to meat packing and rendering facilities as well as a mushroom plant.
