Your Skywatch Weather Forecast
Hot and humid conditions continue on Thursday across southern Manitoba and northwestern Ontario. So do heat warnings for both regions. Daytime highs will climb well into the 30s in most areas with humidex values reaching the low 40s. Clouds pushed into southern Manitoba from the U.S. this morning, but should clear out with the afternoon winds, also from the south. We start off tonight in Winnipeg under a clear sky before some cloud cover builds back up overnight. It will be a very warm night, too, with our 22 C low warmer than the normal daytime high for this time of year! A cold front moving through on Friday will trigger showers and thunderstorms late in the day and in the evening. The showers should hold off during the day on Saturday before resuming in the evening and continuing on Sunday. Labour Day Monday will be cloudy with a small chance of showers. Expect temperatures to start off hot on the long weekend on Saturday, then cool off considerably by Monday.
