UPDATE: Police confirm the bridge is now open.
The northbound and southbound lanes of the Slaw Rebchuk Bridge are closed to traffic, Winnipeg police said Monday.
Officers were on scene early Monday afternoon.
Police are encouraging drivers to take alternate routes.
