A declared snow route parking ban is in effect starting at midnight Wednesday. That means no parking on snow routes between midnight and 7 a.m.

The city also says crews are continuing to salt, sand and plow main routes, bus routes and collectors streets Wednesday night.

Sidewalks on main routes and back lanes will also be cleared today.

Vehicles parked in violation of the snow route parking ban may receive a $100 ticket ($50 if paid early), and may be towed to a compound.

The declared snow route parking ban will remain in place until snow clearing is completed. A public notice will go out when the ban is lifted.

The annual snow route parking ban will continue to be in effect from 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

If you aren’t sure if the ban applies to you, check your street for snow route signs, call 311, or check knowyourzone.winnipeg.ca.
