Winnipeggers will no longer be allowed to park on designated snow routes.

The city’s snow route parking ban took effect Saturday at 2 a.m.

The parking ban will last until March 1, and motorists won't be able to park on any street designated with a snow route sign between the hours of 2 a.m. and 7 a.m.

On some routes, the ban begins two hours earlier at midnight.

Any vehicles that are found parking on snow routes will be ticketed and/or towed, according to city officials.

More information on the parking bans can be found on the city's website.
