An incumbent councillor in west Winnipeg has a host of opponents lining up to take his job.

Five candidates are running against two-term councillor Grant Nordman in the St. Charles ward.

Eric Holland oversees purchases made by the province, Liberal member Don Woodstock drives a transit bus and Dwight Hildebrant has a financial and real estate background.

Perennial St. Charles candidate Shawn Dobson is also in the race again. Geoff Borden is on the ballot too.

Nordman is a former speaker at city hall and current member of the mayor's executive policy committee.

The incumbent won in 2010 with 52 per cent of the vote.
