Winnipeg police have made an arrest in connection to the death of a man on Albert Street just before midnight on Nov. 4, 2013.
Adam John Perrier, 33, faces three charges, including manslaughter, in the death of Christopher Paul Maier, 42, said Winnipeg police.
Emergency personnel responded on Monday to the 100 block of Albert Street for a report of an injured male. When they arrived, they located Maier suffering from injuries from an apparent fall. He was transported to hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead a short time after.
Police said an altercation had occurred between the two men. Fearing for his safety, the victim fled to his third floor suite. The suspect followed the victim, which led to the victim falling from a window, said police.
Winnipeg's homicide unit continues to investigate.
