Regina police have arrested a man in connection with the death of a woman in Winnipeg.
The body of a woman was found inside a home in the 1100 block of Alexander Avenue on Saturday. Police initially called the death suspicious.
The Winnipeg Police Service issued bulletins requesting assistance in locating 42-year-old Christopher Mackenzie Campbell. Police said Campbell was likely making his way across western Canada.
A vehicle associated to Campbell and the victim was found outside Regina on Saturday. He was arrested without incident in downtown Regina at 4:35 p.m. on Sunday.
On Monday, Winnipeg police said Campbell is facing a charge of second-degree murder.
An autopsy is pending on the victim. Her name has not been released by police.
