Winnipeg police announced they have charged Peter Wilfred Flett, 26, for his involvement in a home invasion and a separate assault and robbery in June and July.

On June 30, police responded to a home invasion on Beach Avenue in which residents were assaulted after a number of suspects entered the home.

Then on July 16, police responded to an assault on Springfield Road where both a 26 and a 27-year-old man received non-life-threatening injuries.

On July 22, 20-year-old Christopher Rauch was arrested and charged in relation to both incidents.

Flett was also identified as a suspect at the time.

On July 24, police said they responded to a report of a robbery on La Verendrye Street around 11:15 p.m.

They said a man pointed what was believed to be a firearm at residents and demanded personal property. No one was injured.

Shortly after, the suspect was located in the 400 block of Archibald Street where he was shot by police. The suspect was transported to hospital in critical condition.
