Police are looking for a man who tried to get an 11-year-old into his car by offering her a ride as she was walking to school on Friday.
The girl was walking in the area of Rothesay Street and Springfield Road when the man pulled up in a vehicle and asked if she wanted a ride.
When she declined, the man asked if she had any “weed.” She said she didn’t smoke, and the man drove away.
Police describe the man as aboriginal in appearance, around 25 years old, with short brown hair, and a tattooed word running along his left jawline. The vehicle is described as a newer model, black, with a Winnipeg Jets logo on the bottom left-hand side of the rear window.
