Icy conditions have caused numerous crashes in Winnipeg since Thursday night.
Friday morning a taxi slammed into a restaurant at Toronto Street and Notre Dame Avenue.
The cab punched a large hole in the building, but no one was seriously hurt in the crash.
Winnipeg police and provincial officials are warning drivers to use caution on city and provincial roads and highways.
A massive winter storm hit Winnipeg Thursday night. It is expected to intensify Friday afternoon and continue until Saturday.
