Police have charged a teenage boy in connection with a homicide in Plum Coulee.

Altona police and emergency medical services were called to a home in Plum Coulee Sunday night for a report of an injured man. When they arrived, they found a 42-year-old man dead. An autopsy conducted Tuesday in Winnipeg attributed the cause of death to multiple stab wounds.

RCMP D Division major crime and forensic identification units were at the site Monday to assist in the investigation.

A 14-year-old male youth suspect was charged Monday with second-degree murder. His name, and the name of the deceased, will not be released by law enforcement officials. He remains in police custody and will make a court appearance in Winnipeg on Jan. 2.
