Stonewall RCMP have charged two teens in connection with an assault at a minor hockey league championship between Stonewall and Lake Manitoba First Nation from Dog Creek on March 30.

RCMP said three referees were targeted through a puck shot by one suspect, and two of the referees were also physically struck by another suspect.

Police said there were no serious injuries.

A 14-year-old girl from Lake Manitoba First Nation faces a charge of assault with a weapon and a 13-year-old girl from Lake Manitoba First Nation faces a charge of assault.
