Manitoba hockey great Theo Fleury led a walk to bring attention the impact of childhood trauma.

The Victor Walk marched from the Children’s Museum to the Manitoba Legislature Saturday morning.

The Winnipeg portion of the walk makes the end of a five-day series of rallies in communities across the province , beginning in Russell, Man., followed by walks in Neepawa, Brandon, Portage la Prairie.

Several cities across Canada also planned events for Saturday, including Toronto, London, Oakville, Georgetown, Wasaga Beach, Halifax and Moncton.

The Victor Movement raises money for the Breaking Free Foundation, which provides treatment and support to victims of childhood trauma.
