Winnipeg police have laid manslaughter charges against a fifth suspect in connection with the killing of a teenage boy in September.

Around 8 a.m. on Sept. 4, officers found a badly injured 16-year-old boy in the 300 block of Aberdeen Avenue.

The boy eventually died of his injuries.

Four men have already been charged with manslaughter in connection with the boy’s death. Michael James Guimond, 34, and Richard Daniel Beaulieu, 36, Warner Dairren Flett, 24, and Gregory James Myerion, 37, face manslaughter charges.

On Oct. 17, a fifth man was taken into custody.

Colin Ray Monkman, 18, faces a manslaughter charge in connection with the teen's death, said police.
