Thousands gather at ballpark to participate in living flag

Over 3,000 people gathered at Shaw Park on July 1 in celebration of Canada Day and the 50th anniversary of the country’s flag.

Downtown Winnipeg BIZ has been inviting people to the Canada Day Living Flag event since 2011.

Over 15,000 people have participated over the years by dressing in red and white patriotic attire to create the living Canadian flag.
