Manitoba Hydro is working to repair a damaged fuse that left thousands with electricity problems Saturday.

About 3,000 residents in East St. Paul and Birds Hill received low voltage at their homes after a problem at Manitoba Hydro’s Ridge Hill Station.

According to a Manitoba Hydro official, residents in the area were getting less than 120 volts of power around 4 p.m.

A fuse at the station is believed to be what caused the problem. Manitoba Hydro is now using an alternate supply while they try to repair the fuse.
