Three teens are in police custody after someone committed a series of break-ins stretching from Crescentwood to Charleswood Friday night.

The first break-in occurred in the 100 block of Dromore Avenue. Someone broke into an attached garage, cut through locks and chains and stole three mountain bikes.

Two other mountain bikes were stolen after someone cut through bike locks in the 3300 block of Roblin Boulevard and the 3400 block of Vialoux Drive.

Then in the 300 block of Laxdal Street, the first 100 block of Bramble Drive, and the first 100 block of Sammons Crescent, someone broke into unlocked vehicles and stole loose change.

A garage door opener found in one of the vehicles on Bramble was used to open the garage, but nothing was stolen. One of the vehicles on Sammons also contained a garage remote which was used to steal a skateboard and mountain bike.

At around 2.30 a.m. on Satruday, police officers in the area of Portage Avenue and Moray Street saw three male teens riding bicycles on the sidewalk. After the officers stopped the teens, they concluded that they were the ones who committed the break-ins.

The three youth aged 15, 17 and 18 face several property-related offences. The 17 and 18 year old also face charges for breaking court orders.
