Truck gets stuck under bridge near Polo Park

A semi-trailer became wedged underneath the Empress Street rail bridge over Portage Avenue on Tuesday afternoon.

It took several rail staff more than an hour to get the trailer out from beneath the bridge.

Traffic was backed up along Portage.

CP hasn’t yet confirmed whether there’s damage to the bridge.

At this point, it’s not known if any injuries were reported.

Traffic was moving again through the area later Tuesday afternoon.
