KINGSTON, Ont. -- Two men have been charged in connection with a murder at an Ontario prison 30 years ago.
Nineteen-year-old Robert Frank Conroy was pronounced dead in hospital after he was found with serious injuries in a cell block at Collin's Bay Institution in Kingston, Ont., on June 7, 1982.
Robert Simpson and Jeffery Peck, both 50, were arrested Thursday and have each been charged with first-degree murder.
Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kristine Rae says Robert Simpson was living in a provincial institution in Montreal and Peck was arrested in Winnipeg.
Both will be returned to Kingston to appear in court on the charges.
