A woman who police believe abducted her son and daughter has been found safely along with the children.

Police said Josh and Montana Giesbrecht, aged nine and 11 respectively, were found along with their mother Sandra Giesbrecht, police announced Friday evening.

Police said they would not release any other information until Saturday morning.

Authorities had pleaded with Sandra Giesbrect to contact them after the two children went missing after 6 p.m. on Monday in the St. James area. A Canada-wide warrant was issued for her on Wednesday.

Giesbrecht recently appealed a ruling that awarded primary custody of her children to her husband.
