Police have arrested two suspects in a violent convenience store robbery last week that ended in the stabbing of a 51-year-old man.

On April 11, four suspects concealing their identities walked into a convenience store in the 800 block of Mountain Avenue. They confronted staff and the 51-year-old man was stabbed.

The suspects fled with lottery tickets, tobacco and cash, police said.

A 61-year-old man was also assaulted. The victims were taken to hospital in stable condition.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit were able to identify two suspects. On April 15, officers arrested 20-year-old Cameron Earl Baptiste and 19-year-old Brandon Lee George Hunter.

Both face numerous robbery-related charges. They are being held at the Remand Centre.
