Mike Vogiatzakis still wants to run for mayor in Winnipeg.

Vogiatzakis was told by the city clerk’s office at the deadline on Tuesday he was short the required 250 signatures to become a nominated candidate.

The now former candidate said his officials are going through the signatures to prove they are more than enough legitimate names on his list.

He tells CTV he will attempt one more time Wednesday to convince the clerk’s office to reconsider, even though the deadline has passed.

The funeral home owner says he has spent thousands of dollars on a campaign bus and signs.
