Water is flowing once again into some Charleswood homes on Laxdal Road after city crews repaired the latest in a string of breaks in a section of water main on Friday. A city spokesperson said service was restored by 5:00 p.m.

Residents have dealt with intermittent water service since the water main first broke almost two weeks ago. Crews would repair one break, only to have the line break somewhere else.

The city says this pipe is at the end of its service life and more vulnerable to leaks. This section of water main has been added to the city's 2014 water main renewal program.

The city provides a water tank for residents, while water is shut off.
