KENT, Wash. -- The Brandon Wheat Kings are headed to the 2016 Memorial Cup.

Jayce Hawryluk had three goals and two assists as Brandon downed the Seattle Thunderbirds 8-4 on Friday to win the Western Hockey League's Ed Chynoweth Cup.

The Wheat Kings are the fourth and final team to qualify for the Memorial Cup, which begins May 20 in Red Deer, Alta. Joining Brandon are the host Rebels, Ontario Hockey League champion London Knights and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, who are the champions from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Nolan Patrick scored once and set up two more for the Wheat Kings, who took the best-of-seven final 4-1. John Quenneville, Macoy Erkamps, Tyler Coulter and Stelio Mattheos added the others.

Josh Uhrich struck twice for the Thundrbirds, who also got goals from Alexander True and Jerret Smith.

Brandon's Jordan Papirny made 27 saves for the win as Landow Bow kicked out 31-of-37 shots for Seattle.

The Wheat Kings went 2 for 4 on the power play while the Thunderbirds scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
