The Brandon Wheat Kings’ quest for their first-ever Memorial Cup begins Saturday night against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.

The Huskies are the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League champions.

Mitch Marner had five points last night as the London Knights routed the host Red Deer Rebels 6-2 to open up the tournament.

The Wheat Kings earned a spot in the Memorial Cup after they beat the Seattle Thunderbirds 8-4 in the WHL championship final on May 14.  It was the third time in the team’s history that it won the Western Hockey League championship.

The Wheat Kings play the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies at 6 p.m.CT.
