Winnipeggers came together Sunday to decorate a special holiday tree at the Winnipeg Art Gallery.

A number of holiday guests visited the gallery Sunday afternoon to create ornaments for the 20 foot spruce. Santa’s elves were on hand to help people with their holiday creations, and Santa Claus himself showed up for the holiday party.

The spruce was donated by Frank and Sophie Czayka and had to be trimmed to fit to 20 feet to fit into the gallery.

The tree will now stand on display in the art gallery’s Eckhardt Hall for the remainder of the holiday season.
