Remember the days when you could walk up and down the aisle of a movie store, and select from thousands of titles?

Well those days never ended for Winnipeg's Adam Malik. "Whatever I'd come across at the video store, I'd just start picking them up," said Malik.

He obviously came across a lot.  Over the past 25 years, the avid collector has acquired copies of every movie and TV show you can imagine, and many you probably couldn't.  He currently has 17,300 titles on VHS, DVD and Blu-ray stored in his basement movie library.  He's scoured the world to find them all.

And soon, it could all be yours.

Malik is selling his collection, in its entirety.  But to buy it, you'll need a bank account as massive as his collection.  Just like Dr. Evil from Austin Powers, Malik wants one million dollars.

"I figured I'd get attention with a big bold number," explained Malik.  "And then see what kind of interest I get from there."

Thus far, the offers on eBay have not been as impressive as his movie collection. "I've had offers from one dollar, to a hundred dollars, and even the largest amount is not adequate."

Malik admits a million dollars is a lot of money, about 58 dollars per movie.

Still, he says in his mind, this deal is actually a bargain.

"If you'd like to collect 17 thousand movies, how much time are you going to take doing that?" asked Malik.  "It took me 25 years! So if you'd like to save 25 years of your time, I'm willing to sell that time to you, for a price."

And you get the movies too.  About 100 boxes worth, Malik estimates.  And if you meet his million dollar asking price, he will meet you as he delivers them personally. right to your door.  The movie collection is up for sale on eBay.  You can check it out by searching for '17,195 movies.'

The collection has grown since he originally listed it.
