Winnipeg police say a man forged credentials to work as a physiotherapist in a hospital.

Police say a man was employed by the Seven Oaks Hospital between June 29 and July 22 as a family patient care manager.

They say concerns were raised about his credentials, and the College of Physiotherapists advised that he was not licensed and his documents may have been forged.

Police say the man's job was administrative -- he did not treat patients -- and his employment was terminated.

A 30-year-old suspect has been charged with fraud and forgery and was released pending his next court date.
