Winnipeg travellers said that recent threats against WestJet make them nervous, but won't interrupt their travel.

WestJet has received four fake bomb threats over the past five days.

The airline made four emergency landings as a result.

In a statement, WestJet said all four aircraft that received threats were searched by police and cleared. It said nothing was found.

Travellers leaving Winnipeg said that the threats were a concern. One woman said that she is keeping a closer eye on her baggage.

Defence lawyer Jay Prober said that a person calling in fake bomb threats could be charged under the criminal code with mischief or endangering an airplane.

Prober said the maximum sentence for both those charges is life in prison.

Six people were injured on Monday night in Winnipeg during an emergency evacuation prompted by the threat.
