A woman whose car was stolen Tuesday night in Winnipeg is hoping a photograph snapped by the suspected thieves will help lead to an arrest.

Lucille Lavoie, who left her keys in the car along with her purse and cell phone, said the photo showed up on her Facebook account because her phone is synced with the account.

She's not sure if the suspects knew that when they were taking the photo, but now she has a photo of three people driving her car.

Lavoie reported the incident to police and gave officers the photo.

Winnipeg Police confirmed there's an ongoing investigation into the theft, but wouldn't provide any other details.

The theft happened in a residential neighbourhood near Polo Park.

Along with the car and her phone, Lavoie's purse, credit cards and personal identification were also taken.
