The polar bears at Assiniboine Park Zoo received a little extra attention Friday.
Zoo visitors celebrated International Polar Bear Day with Hudson and the gang at the Journey to Churchill exhibit.
Polar Bears International launched the awareness day to draw attention to the plight of polar bears impacted by climate change. The group encourages people to rethink their energy habits and their footprint on the environment.
Assiniboine Park Zoo will mark the event with three days of activities including polar bear biofact stations, free Journey to Churchill Tours and an interactive art installation.
