A Berens River man has died after being struck by a vehicle on the community’s Main Street early Saturday morning.

Around 1:30 a.m., Berens River RCMP were called to a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. RCMP said officers found a man suffering serious injuries at the scene, but no suspect vehicle.

The 29-year-old man was taken to the local nursing station, where he died from his injuries.

The First Nations community is located along the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, approximately 390 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
