Boston Bruins right-wing David Pastrnak, Winnipeg Jets right-wing Blake Wheeler and Philadelphia Flyers centre Claude Giroux have been named the NHL three stars of the week.
Pastrnak led the NHL with five goals and added two assists over four games to power the Bruins to three victories. The highlight of his week came Saturday, when he scored third career hat-trick and 17th career game-winning goal while adding an assist in a 5-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Wheeler had a goal and shared the league lead with six assists in just two outings to propel the Jets to consecutive wins in their return from the 2018 NHL Global Series in Helsinki. His week included a career-high five points (one goal, four assists) in a 5-2 triumph over the Colorado Avalanche on Friday.
Giroux paced the NHL with eight points (three goals, five assists) and a plus-8 rating in three games to lift the Flyers to a perfect week and into second place in the Metropolitan Division.
