Winnipeg police and their bomb unit were dispatched to a Canada Post facility at 1870 Wellington Avenue.
They were called for a report of a suspicious package just before midnight, at approximately 11:55 p.m.
Technicians were successful in destroying the package that was positioned in a safe place prior to their arrival.
