Boy rescued from beneath truck that slammed into Winnipeg store

A horrifying moment unfolded for a young boy and his father shopping at a Winnipeg convenience store on Tuesday.

Security camera footage from inside Md’s Convenience Store in the 1100 block of Munroe shows a truck slam through the front doors. The truck narrowly missed the man, but the boy gets trapped underneath. The father rushes to the vehicle and pulls the boy free.

The co-owner of the store said the boy wasn’t seriously hurt, suffering only minor scratches.

The crash happened shortly before 11 a.m.

There’s no word yet on whether charges are pending.
