The push to open Portage and Main to foot traffic continues.
On Feb. 4 the Downtown Winnipeg Biz, the City of Winnipeg and CentreVenture are hosting an event to discuss the iconic intersection.
The keynote speaker will be Tim Tompkins, President of the Times Square Alliance. Tompkins will address how he helped transform the busiest street in New York’s Times Square to a public plaza.
While here, Tompkins is scheduled to meet with city planners and the Portage and Main property owners who control the intersections destiny.
