City officials issued a notice that the northbound lanes of Shaftesbury Boulevard from McCreary Road to West Taylor Boulevard will be closed starting at 6 a.m. Sept. 20.
The lane closures will be in place for approximately five weeks, said the city.
The closures are being put into effect to accommodate work at the future IKEA site.
Drivers are asked to allow additional travel time and to use alternate routes, such as Kenaston Boulevard.
Winnipeg Transit route 95 will continue to service the Shaftesbury Park Retirement Residence, said city officials.
