City Councillor Ross Eadie has been suspended from the police board because of an overnight stay in the drunk tank.
Eadie confirms to CTV he's on leave while the board investigates the incident.
The councillor, who was absent without explanation from the last meeting, says he is fighting the suspension.
Eadie believes he may have been belligerent towards police officers when he was taken to the Martha Street project in November.
Last month CTV reported Eadie's tenure on the police board might be under review.
Eadie could be removed from his position on the police committee if it's determined his actions compromised the integrity of the board.
