City councillors passed a motion Wednesday to increase the hourly fees from a dollar per hour to two dollars per hour in parts of Winnipeg’s downtown.
The city hopes the move will increase vehicle turnover on “high demand” streets and make it easier for people to find spots.
The city posted a map of the downtown streets deemed “high demand” on its website.
